1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee coolant sensor bad message?

First try and reseting the thing by pulling your battery cable for a few minutes and then run it again and see if it still displays or the only other thing it could be is the wires going to the coolant temp. sensor have a fault in the wire somewhere along the way. Im hoping that the first thing you try cures it because trying to find bad continuity in a wire that only does it intermittently is nearly impossible but casn be done with patience or a good eye. If the reset doesnt work get a good light(and good glasses) and peruse those wires like they stole money from you and see if you find something obvious.
