Does Australia have a Holy City?

Many cities in other countries such as Iraq are described as the Holy City of xxxx. Is this terminology restricted to such countries or do other countries also have Holy Cities? Are the people in a Holy City, holier than other people?

Maybe it just means an old city with connections to some religion.

Gympie is an old gold mining town. There are many holes, and after very heavy rain big holes sometimes appear where the ground has collapsed into the old mine workings.

there are many sacred sites to the indigineous australians..

my friend climbed ayers rock (WHITE MANS LANGUAGE) i mean, Uluru, but you cant do that no longer because some d-bags decided to go to the toilet on an extremely sacred site.

considering the vast number of aboriginal tribes and customs, i think there are many thousands of sacred spots. just that cities arent that big due to Aussies brief history

I'm pretty sure Australia has no Holy City.

But as an atheist, I nominate Darwin.

    Yes, it's a city.
