The easiest way is to have a computer with an HDMI out put that is designed to do this..if not it may not work depending on what video card and audio card you have...you can try a VGA splinter that boosts the signal and sends it to the TV if the TV has VGA if not you will need to get some kind of converter to convert the VGA to whatever you have sound you can use mini out plunged into the headphone jack converted to RCA..it make not sink with the video though, some receivers and TV's have adjustment for sink, also the video signal from the computer to the TV has a different refresh rate also the pixel count is odd,so you may get flicker or only black and white picture or only snow; you need soft wear to compensate for this, if your graphics card is not powerful enough it may not be able to handle the changes necessary to convert the signal, so the easiest way is to get a newer model lap top that has HDMI and is able to do the conversions... Your TV needs to have HDMI also and be computer adaptable.sound card and Graphics card are the key...Even if it all works content on the Internet is not great and will especially show deficiencies on a big screen...

As long as your TV has a VGA input and most newer ones do, all you need is a monitor cable AKA, VGA to VGA cable and a microjack to RCA cable for sound. Head to http://www.monoprice.com/home/index.asp for good quality, super cheap cables. Should run you less than $10 including shipping.

If you don't have a VGA input on your TV then you'll need to buy a VGA to HDMI cable and a micro to RCA cable. The VGA to HDMI cables are significantly more expensive but monoprice has good prices on those too.

I use the PlayOn server on my PC and a digital media receiver (DMR) connected to my TV.

As a DMR you can use the Xbox360,a Ps3, and a variety of other models from Linksys, Netgear, and others.
