Guys:are purity rings a turn-off?

A man who thinks it's a turn off isn't a real man. :)

I think it is a TURN-ON! It means that the girl is interested in a relationship based on character and values. It means that she values herself and the word of God. Any guy who looks at those rings and is turned off, is looking for a relationship that is strongly based on physicality... it wont last. If a relationship is going to last, it has to survive a series of stages: friendship, dating, exclusive relationship, engagement, and then marriage (at which point the purity ring is replace with a wedding ring)! Sex should not be the target of a relationship, the target should be the heart! By the way, I'm a guy who cares a great deal about a special girl who happens to wear purity rings... I just have not yet worked up the courage to tell her how I feel yet!

Let's put it this way, if a guy knows that he has no chance of getting some, he'll lose interest fast.

I think it's a waste of time and effort. You don't need a stupid ring to make a promise. I don't believe in god anyway, but still....
