Can I drive to Canada without a canadian visa?

I live just two hours from Canada. I am a brazilian citizen and I have a USA greencard. What kind of documentation they ask you on the frontier.. I was just wondering if I just drive there they will ask me for USA passaport or something. I just want to visit the place and come back... I have the driver's licence here...

The U.S. Green Card is all you need to travel to Canada and back.

On the website of US DHS you can read:

Lawful Permanent Residents (Green card holder's) do NOT need a passport to enter the United States, however you may need a passport to enter another country. Please contact the embassy of the foreign country you will be traveling to for their requirements.

The Canadian Border Services Agency has published a guide for transporters. It states:

Permanent residents of the United States may travel to Canada from the United States or Saint-Pierre and Miquelon WITHOUT passports, travel documents or visas provided they produce satisfactory evidence of their identify and status.

The Brazilian passport without the Green Card would not get you into Canada without a visa.

Could a visitor from Canada drive past the Uzbekistanian border with a visa for France? It's the same thing in North America. Each country has its own regulations and restrictions and the paperwork for one country doesn't mean anything in another country. If you have a valid Uzbekistan passport, apply for a Canadian visa to go with it and you're all set.

You got 2 wrong answers. U.S. green card holders may enter Canada and re-enter the U.S. with just their green cards. A Brazilian passport will not get you back into the U.S. Your green card will. See 1st site below and scroll down to read 2nd paragraph under Visitor Visa Exemptions. Then see 2nd site and read section on U.S. Lawful Permanent Residents.

You'll need a valid passport from your home country along with the GREEN CARD no matter how you enter (by boat, plane, train, car or an unidentified flying object)
