Me
what is a garantor?
I have read a couple different roles of a garantor.
1-- it is a person of good standing, known to the applicant for at least 2 years, good credit rating, etc, and his or her role is simply to confirm that the information on birth certificate, application, etc, is true.
another version/role:
2-- same as first one, plus this part: if applicant is not able to pay the loan, etc, the company can turn to the garantor for payment.
I am totally confused.
Now, if that wasn't enough, my son is asking me to be his garantor for a new apartment he is planning to rent? what is a garantor for an apartment? does that mean I will be responsible if he misses payment of rent?
Please can someone clarify the dilemma I am in to help me make a good decision on this....?

if sunblocks/suncreens blocks UVB and UVA rays, does it mean that it also blocks vitamin D?
Also, I hear it is impossible to get an overdose of vitamin D from pills format. Is that true?

"""""important child support question... CANADIANS?
This is for a friend of mine who does not have a computer. Him and his wife separated about ten years ago. They had agreed to a fixed amount of child support he should be paying. It wasn't done through the courts. (They're Canadian) Now, she wants retroactive payments for all the years he missed - I am not sure when he started child support payments or when they had made the agreement of the amount. Please don't say for me to tell him to see a lawyer, he can't afford one. My question is: If they had already agreed outside of courts of the amount, and he has been paying, let's say, for the last two years (like I said I am not sure how long he has been paying child support payments to her for), can she then turn around and say (after ten or so years of separation) that she will bring him to court to have retroactive payments? Isn't there a time frame to do this, after which, it is much more difficult to even have a case? He says that even though it is agreed between him and his ex-wife and not through the courts, he has a document signed by both stating their agreement.
Second question: if she does go through the court system, is there anything he can do or bring to help his chances of winning his case? He says he prefers to claim bankrupcy, but I tell him it's a bad idea.
Your thoughts on all this? Also, in your answer, please state if you are canadian yourself/ know the canadian law.
Thanks for your feedback. Much appreciated.

My friend's account has been deleted?
by someone who knew her password or a hacker. She's not sure. How can she go about finding out 'where' the deletion took place? Or can she trace the source? (the where and who?) Is it traceable at all, or only if it is done in a private home. What if it is done in a public place? Not traceable then? I've heard that one has 90 days to retrieve the account: is that true?

I`ve been divorced for 3 months, on my own for 5. Is it too early to start dating?
is there a guideline on when it is appropriate time to start dating without people pointing fingers at you? There is a guy who is interested in me, and I am in him, but I am so afraid of people`s judgement, that I am asking him to wait a few months, but he thinks I am not being reasonable... Is it cruel to make him wait? Should I just give it a shot and not care about what others are saying, or should I let him go? At this point, I am not sure if I am thinking of going out with him due to ''loneliness'' or if it is because I truly am ready? I am confused! please, feedback!!!! thanks so much!

11 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade ago****HOW TO ATTRACT PROFESSIONALS OR FINANCIALLY STABLE AND INTELLIGENT MEN....?
****Why is it I only attract the wrong ones....?
I was attracted to this man and he was to me, and we were planning on starting to see each other, etc. (read my previous question for more details), and today, I discovered he is still married (!!!) but separated, (wife still living under same roof but apparently can't afford to live on her own), he's been arrested, etc. Anyway, back to my question.
Why is it, a professional, financially and emotionally balanced, and intelligent woman like me, can only seem to attract the low/no income guys, trouble with the law, etc. /losers???!!! It is so true when they say that the higher up you go, the lonelier it gets at the top! Why can't I not find a doctor, teacher, nurse, engeneer, etc. some other professional to be attracted to me? I know I sound desperate for a guy, but I am not desperate for a guy, I am desperate to find a 'good, normal, faithful, professional or financially stable/in my salary bracket, guy. All my adult life, which is about 20 years, I've never attracted professionals. How do I attract professionals and stop attracting losers? Is it because I subconsciously feel pity for them? My self-esteem is not low, I am a happy person. But it irritates me and discourages me that I always fall in this trap of finding/attracting Mr.Wrong.
It is discouraging, not to mention, the guys that seem good, well, sigh, they end up being the cheater type. sigh. Any hints what I can do? I am not in a hurry to find a guy, but I am hoping before the next 5 years at least. I'm in my forties.
