Health Care Reform Passes, will you use it?

Looks like the Health Care Reform will pass, using the reconciliation method to avoid a filibuster.

So now that it will pass, will you use the new Health care system?

Actually this is not about Healthcare it is about Insurance Reform. I think it will pass. I hope it doesn't but from what I have seen the current Congress and Administration are going to pass it come hook or crook regardless of what "WE THE PEOPLE" want.

  • Without the economy, what good is healthcare but Obama wants to spend out of recession!!! BIG MISTAKE!!!!! Obama and the Dems are so hung up on their far left agenda to Europeanize America that they WILL NOT do the right steps to fix the economy. Heathcare reform is just one example of Europeanizing America. Why would any American, who calls himself an American, want to even allow another government take over of a private industry that employs so many individuals across this Nation which everyone KNOWS that will not be run effectively and efficiently??? Again, I ask, if you call yourself an American, how can you allow that?? Allow the government to take over 20% of the Nations economy, healthcare!! In the past Americans would not stand for it...Well I guess we've allowed this Nation to become a welfare state so everyone wants freebe's and not work for our own sustenance....a very sad state of affairs. We have Nov. 2010 to begin changing it so please take appropriate action that AMERICANS ought to take!!!!

It's not health care reform. It's health insurance reform, if anything... and it's crappy to boot. I already have insurance, so it will be business as usual for me until the cost of premiums becomes prohibitive. At that point I'll drop coverage and pay the lame fine.

I don't need it, as I have lifelong health insurance. That said, don't count your insurance chickens before they hatch, as there are still many Dems who won't support this abortion and practically no Republicans who will.

Edit to Greg: You state that nearly half of the people in this country can't name the Vice President. Why not finish that statement with the fact that those people are almost all Democrats?

If I have to pay a premium for it, of course I will.

But it won't go into effect because candidates will run on overturning it before 2013 when the mandate goes into effect, and it will be gone.

hell no. i sent the extra tax check bush gave us back and wrote across the front of it "PLEASE GIVE BACK TO CHINA". I am not going to use obamacare or pay for it in anyway i can keep from doing so.. and if the police come to fine me as some have suggested, it will be a bad day for them...they'll need the healthcare

There's nothing to "use". The health care bill just makes it illegal to not buy insurance. I already have it.

    No, it already passed.

Changes will be made in reconciliation, and those changes only require a simple majority approval.

People, this is not that difficult.

I supposed I shouldn't be so suprised that folks don't understand Senate parlimentary procedures when nearly half of the people in the country cannot name the Vice President.

Not at this time as I already have health coverage. But I have a few newly unemployed friends who could really use it for their families.

A better question to ask is if you will have the choice.
