Hello lovely Scottish person! :)
When I was about 3 my parents and I stayed in Fort William, and the places we visited included: Glen Finnan, Morar, Caithness, Oban, Kyle of Lochalsh, Plockton.
However, the only bits I have any memory of are the white sands of Morar, glass blowing at Caithness and photos of me at Glen Finnan Monument.
When I was almost 15 my dad took me back for a few days. We stayed overnight in Edinburgh so I could visit the castle, then went on to Fort William, and again visited Plockton and Kyle of Lochalsh.
I loved all the places I saw, but really, really must go back again to see more :)

I was in Edinburgh but I went up to Aberdeen and St. Andrews and Inverness and Glencoe. It's an amazingly beautiful place with obviously tons of history. The fact that cobblestones you're walking on are over 600 years old is just mind blowing considering no such thing like that exists in North America!

Yes about this time of year 35 years ago I visited Edinburgh and toured the very castle where Macbeth(Shakespeare's play) was supposed to have taken place.

No. Only on the Discovery and the History channels.
I'd love to see the ruins of the historic castles scattered along the coast.

Yes I visited Auchtermuchty in Fife in 1960 and met Lulu's extended family and they were terrific. Lulu was in London promoting her top recording of Shout. I Also went to Edinburgh and saw the castle, a man in full highland dress and went in the pubs, only to be told that ladies weren't allowed in! That was how it was in 1960. However, you could go into a hotel and get a drink and I used to drink a beer that was called Heavy. Great times!! I was proposed to by a pig farmer who, apparently according to his mate, had a load of unopened wage packets. However, after 3 months I was missing London too much and came back.
