North Plainfield, NJ- Neighborhood Good or Bad?
We are relocating from the UK and looking at areas in NJ to live as my husband will work in Manhattan. We found a house we liked the look of in North Plainfield, NJ (Zip Code 07060).
I was hoping to find someone who lived around there and could comment from experience. What is the neighborhood like there? Namely is it: Safe? Family friendly? Good schools?

Here's some links (town website, schools, crime stats) you may find helpful. Pop is only 20,000. The crime rate is low, in all categories (good news), it's easy to get to NY for work, shopping, theatres by train, so I wouldn't worry too much. I moved over here 21 years ago, and it's scary at first, but I wouldn't go back now!
