Nikel-plated cast iron cookware?

I’ve been hearing about nikel-plated cast iron cookware. It’s a non-stick surface, dishwasher-safe, doesn’t require seasoning, like regular cast iron and you can use steel wool on it.

The only problems are that it’s very expensive and nobody seems to sell it. There’s some old brands, like Wagoner, and Cajun Cookware. There’s also a new brand called Olvida. Has anyone heard of these, and where to get them? Thanks.

There are places online that sell the Olvida, though I usually like to see things before I buy them. Looks very interesting. Expensive, but then so is all good cookware. If it performs the way it's said to, it would be easily worth it. I didn't see non-stick anywhere but I did see that clean-up should be very easy and that even steel wool won't mark it. I'd never heard of it but I'm going to go ask at my local cookware store.

    Interesting, if true.

Nickel is poisonous, and something like 10-20% of people are badly allergic to it to boot.

It's certainly not my first choice as a cooking material. Nickel is for guns, money, and toaster coils.
