I want to start running again?
I ran track in high school my junior and senior years and I was a 400 runner. My fastest time was a 51 flat. I haven't ran since I graduated from high school last year. I didn't gain any weight or anything, but I'm out of shape and I don't know exactly what I should do to get back in shape. I stopped lifting weights after I graduated as well.
I just want to start running again.
Any help would be appreciated.

the answer is really to just start running again. but take is slow and build your strength and endurance back up. you won't immediately be at the level you were when you ran regularly and competitively, but you'll get back there soon enough. just stick with it! the hardest part is motivating yourself to get started.

I don't get it. It's only been 6 or 7 months since you ran track in high school and you're asking how to start running again? Are we missing some info here? Were you in an accident or something? I don't unserstand the problem, I guess.
1) Put on your running shoes
2) Go to the track
3) Run

If it nonetheless hurts then leisure slightly longer - maybe one more couple of days extra. Then while you begin traiing once more take it handy and pass a little bit gradual. If your tendon hurts at the same time you're jogging then quit and feature one more couple of days leisure. If it's OK then the following treadmill consultation is usually a bit more difficult. Build up slowly to wherein you had been earlier than. If the tendon hurts then ease off slightly. The inspiration is to begin jogging after which slowly construct up once more to as your leg heals

my coach told me to just start running
of course you have to stretch a lot more at the beginning since it's been a long time but just start out with like a mile or two and just take it easy and allow yourself to take breaks
maybe you could run in intervals
