How would you represent a continuous sum of numbers, such as 1+2+3+4+5... using summation notation?

    ∑ n {from n = 1 to n = ∞}

    summation of k where k is from 1 up to infinity.

    Use the sigma notation for the summation (which looks like E).

    Under the sigma notation write k = 1, and on top of the sigma notation, write the symbol for infinity.
