Where can I find 1/2 pint, wide mouth mason/canning jars in bulk (or just really cheap)?
I'm making wedding favors, so I need like 250-300 of them. I don't really care what brand they are, but then need to work out to less than $1 each, including shipping. They also have to ship from somewhere in Canada because I really don't want to know what they would charge to take these over the border.
And Lee Valley doesn't have them, lol, I checked already.

Try thrift stores and ask around people you know to see if they have any sitting in an attic or garage that they aren't using.

Here are some adorable customizable glass jars for wedding favors. They may be a little smaller than what you are looking for, but they hold about 40 pieces of candy each (think M&Ms). Plus the personalization is free and there are tons of different designs and colors available.

I own the site and if you are interested in buying them I could sell them to you at $1.00 each (including shipping) if you purchased 264 (22 sets of 12) or more. So if you wanted 264 of them it would be $264, if you wanted 300 (25 sets) it would be $300. Like I said I would give you free shipping to Canada or the U.S.

The more popular sizes are the pint and quart, and even those a store may only carry 1 or 2 boxes in stock, so you will probably have to special order. Try the folks down at the Food Conspiracy CO-OP downtown, they may not have what you need off-hand but can probably find you some. Also try an Ace or True-Value hardware store, believe it or not they are some of the best places to find home canning supplies.

Glass jars are very expensive to ship due to the weight, so I guess you won't be able to buy them online for less than $1 each, including shipping.

You can find used mason jars in ancient Egyptian tombs. You may have to clean out the remains of human organs you find in them.

costco. or you could look on ebay or something. I don't think you will find them that cheap, especially if you are talking about canadian dollars.
