i made a mistake on a money order?

im making a payment to my probation office and i send out money orders.. in the process of making a money order on my truck i accidnetly wrote on the probations money order am i allowed to cross and inital on the part where it says pay to the order of ..... PLEASE HELP ASAP

    Go back to where you bought them and see if they can replace it.

    what if the place you purchased the M.O. at won't replace it even if you have the receipt? tami
