Um...how often should a bearded dragon...poop...?

Yep. I feel like an idiot for asking this. I'm used to only dealing with hatchlings at my work, so this is a little new for me.

I have a 10 month old male dragon. He's 15.5 inches long, although I don't know his weight. I got him this past Thursday morning. As soon as he was out of the bag (he was shipped from Georgia) he was ready to eat--so much for stress from shipping. 0.o He's been eating crickets that are no larger than the space between his eyes and a mixture of greens with a little bit of other fruits and veggies for treats. He eats a lot but he quits when he is full.

Temps and humidity are all correct. UVB lighting and calcium and vitamin supplementation are provided appropriately.

No loose substrate or any impaction hazards to speak of.

He IS going into shed.

So I realize it's only been 4 days, but I just wanted to know what was normal for a larger beardie to poo. 0.o Like I said, I'm used to the stinkers at work who poop multiple times every day.

Typically, they poop every 2-3 days...but they can differ. My daughter volunteers at a local reptile rescue center and has brought home 3 bearded dragons over the years. The first 2 pooped every few days. The newest one we have now only poops like once a week. I was worried so I brought her and a stool sample to the vet. Every thing turned out fine and the vet said some of them are like that!! As long as he's still eating I wouldn't worry. You also might notice eating and pooping changes before and during shed.

They're all different. Some poop every other day, and some poop around once a week. It all depends on their digestive systems.

One thing to consider though is when you feed him. If its at night, right before lights out, he won't digest as well because there's no light for him to bask in. Try to feed him at least 3 hours before you turn out the lights.

It depends sometimes they poop once a week sometimes everyday. I would give him a couple more days before being worried about it.

If you are worried now you can try giving him a luke warm bath and see if he poops. He might play around and then drink, then poop if the water helps him do that.

it is recommended to confirm your seeds. Illegitimate distributors each each now and then equipment curry rather of beard seeds as a humorous tale on the gullible. in the event that they're legitimate, it would in basic terms be your face. not anybody has the main fertile goatee grounds and this may well be a situation in becoming your facial fuzz. i detect making use of an outstanding kind of facial fertiliser many times ends up in spectacular stubble.
