Christians answer me this; if God shows everyone signs he exists then why do we have atheists?

If he answered people when they asked for a sign he existed, don't you think the atheists would have seen one by now?

Don't you think that would be enough to convince them there is a God?

And don't say "They saw a sign, but they denied it" wouldn't God know what sign would be enough for certain people? Why would he show a lame sign like: life or birds flying, if he knew that atheists wouldn't be the least be "wowed" by it.

Josh, Do you really think God needs man or is it that man needs God?

Why would you think God has a need to prove his existence to us?

There is one way to know.

Those who realize there need for God will come to know him.

It is through realizing our sin and accepting the atonement of Jesus we are born again and begin a personal relationship with God.

There is only one way and it through the atonement of Jesus Christ.

OH boy here we go again... I agree with you that the evidence of the broken rope or the evidence of the extinguished ashes Might infer that there was a caravan there. but it might also infer that it was ONE MAN. Or that a dog broke free of its handler and then lost its tie. the ashes might infer a forrest fire (you did not say where). If this is all of the evidence you have it is nothing. In addition to that I have not even witnessed this much evidence for a god figure. so these implications leave to many avenues for another conclusion. In your child hood analogy everything that you state is indeed beautiful this DOES NOT infer god. As for the butterfly would it make you happy to know that by " taking it in you hands" you have thus murdered the butterfly? With out the dust "all its colors came onto my hands" a butterfly cannot fly and this cannot eat. You, in interrupting that creature have in fact murdered one of your gods creations. If you would like me to go on debunking your little story and making you look not so smart after all please add a note and I will do so.

Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Rom 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified [him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

Rom 1:23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

Rom 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

Rom 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

Rom 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

Rom 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

    Rom 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in [their] knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Well first off, you cannot prove that each coincidence was the act of a higher power.

If a family member was sick, and I prayed for them to get better, and they do. It does not mean it is God's work. The person could have just gotten better on their own, or modern medicine could have healed them.

Many religious people assume that coincidences are gods work.

for instance. If I almost got run off the road by a drunk driver, I could assume god saved me, or that the drunk driver just missed me by coincidence.

Not all things can be proven to be of religious relevance.

First of all, I don't think there's anything that can't be denied. I have met people who deny the basic laws of logic--identity, excluded middle, and non-contradiction. I've met people who deny the existence of the external world. I've even met people who denied that they existed. You cannot invent something so crazy that nobody will believe it, and you can't point to anything so obvious that it can't be denied.

Second, I doubt that God intends to convince everybody that he exists.

If God gave in to the whims and whining of every individual He would not be a God worth serving. Each one of us has the same evidence and proof of His existence. Some have chosen to study the Bible and found the truth of God's existence, others have chosen to ignore it and reject the evidence.

I chose to study the evidence and found evidence of God.

Jeremiah 29:13 And ye shall seek me, and find [me], when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

    Patty, you're wrong.

I was a Christian for half my life and prayed every day for a sign. Finally I got tired of seeing a sign in the salt shaker tipping over by mistake, or a leaf falling from a tree in front of me .. in the Fall. There were NO signs, NO sounds, NO voices, NO whispers ... NO gods.

They know that God is real they just don't want too believe it and when people tell them what they heard or saw from God they say that they are lying or that they think they heard him but they really didn't,and besides God knows when is a good time or day to give them a sign.So they will sooner or later then they will see.

For some reason...this question made think of that old Ace of Base pop song

    "I saw the sign

    it opened up my eyes,

    I saw the sign

    ....Life is demanding, without understand"

    Source(s): man that song sucks

God created humans with a free will, and if the creation is not sufficient proof for some than that is their choice, they would rather believe nothing created everything than an intelligent designer, they are willingly ignorant.
