How do i set my officejet HP Printer to print only Black & White and not use my coloured ink?

I have an HP officejet All in one printer (Print, Copy, Scan & Fax)... When i print, it prints color too, i know i can change properties and click "Print in Grayscale" that will not use color ink. But is there a way to set up it that it doesn't uses color ink at all, until & unless i want it to???

    go into your printer properties, look under color, check "print in grayscale" and click black only.

    WITH MOST PRINTERS, you are required to have ink in both the black and color ink cartridges in order to print in black as color ink is needed in this process. They work in conjunction with each other. So you will need to have the both color and black ink cartridges with ink, the same thing applies for color. It also is used as a lubricant that also helps to prevent print head damage. In the printer driver, there is an option for "gray scale" printing. That should use only the black cartridge , but you also will need a usable color cartridge installed for that option as some color ink is also used.
