Why do women try to control a man's sexuality, but complain when the roles are reversed?
A tad bit hypocritical? Inspired by a earlier question:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=201003...
If a guy was walking around exposing himself to strangers, you would call him a pervert and try to have him arrested. And rightful so, I might add.
But if a woman is an exhibitionist who dresses immodestly, and teases every lonely single guy out there, women cry foul and say "quit trying to control us", when you call her a sexual harasser (which she is) and ask her to cover up her privates so that other women aren't intimidated, and men don't feel like their natural drives are being manipulated.
What a brazen double standard! Are some women so stupid that they really don't understand this? Or do they simply not care about anyone else?

We need to stop listening to feminists. These gals have no idea what the word 'equality' means.

I think women don't want the entire weight of the relationship on their shoulders-they don't want to decide where to go on dates, what movies to see, etc...ALL the time, the man should suggest things they can do together sometimes too, or the girl may feel like he's just a rag doll she carries around everywhere. However, no girl, especially in the western countries, like being told what to do. They want to decide for themselves how to dress and what to eat without criticism from an Stalin-ish overlord. So basically, its all about balance for /most/ women. Some like the guy being in control, while others like being the ones in control. Most, however, want it to be a perfect balance between the two where each parties opinion matters and they can compromise on things they disagree about.

Because women are emotional and therefor argue from an emotional standpoint which may or may not be derived from logic.
Unfortunately if a female thinks something makes her FEEL bad then that thing, person, action must be inherently wrong.
Logic would dictate that predisposition is the call here but women can discriminate on a case by case basis and of course change their minds (a womens perogative)
Real feminism is equality only and with that equality would be 50/50 custody rights to fathers/
50/50 property rights on break ups
Crying would not inherently mean lack of guilt or proof of victimship.
All roles in a relationship would be VALUED EQUALLY
But is this what most self proclaimed feminists want?

men need to start reestablishing some control again like what once was around 20 years ago, since this lack of control and pride of being a man has brought more harm than good.
women used to love men 20 years ago, but they don't, and with them being too effeminnate and feeling guilty just for being men, I can see why.
"Amalia",
you got a serious case of ignoring the issue at hand and trying to babble your way around itl. Just because you try to justify it, doesn't make it right. If women can have their sexuality untamed, then it's only fair that men can do exactly the same. I'm talking about walking around half-naked, I'm talking about sexuality and expressing it for the opposite sex in general. And you purposely ignore than women aren't so perfect either. You only point out the negatives in men while only pointing out the positives in women. You are delusional.

Everyone should be modest.

Just typing in search engines "bible modesty" and people can find good links to the Bible.
1 Timothy 2:9 - "And I want women to be modest in their appearance. They should wear decent and appropriate clothing and not draw attention to themselves by the way they fix their hair or by wearing gold or pearls or expensive clothes." (NLT)
1 Peter 3:3-4 - "Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight." (NIV)

Society sexualizes women, Advertisements,TV shows, Movies, Magazines. Society also masculizes men, Sports, Movies, TV shows, Advertisements.
The "sheeple" who let the media dictate their own lifestyles just promote the stereotypes which we see around us. Do you follow the crowd? Do you make your own path? or are you just different to be for the sake of being different?

It's not a double standard, it's two different situations. If a woman walked around lifting her blouse and flashing her boobs in public or dropping her panties and showing her vagina in public, I'd try to get her arrested too. However, if she's wearing a low cut blouse that shows off her cleavage, that's not illegal- just trashy.

"Theres a significant difference between indecent exposure, and dressing provocatively (which are the two scenarios you presented)."
Of course there is. When a woman does it, it's empowerment, when a man does it, it's perverted.

There's no way in hell a woman is going to control my sexuality.
