I don't want my turtles anymore, what do i do with it?
Their gettin too big for my tank and so far i'm planning to release them at a lake close by. I rather do that than give/sell it to someone and have them stuck in a 10gal (their about 5 inches or 6 inches in diameter) Does anyone have any ideas? I can't find any shelter for it.

Unless your turtles are native to the area you live in then by no means should you release them into the wild. If you can not care for them then the responsible thing to do is to contact your local Animal Control Agency and surrender the turtles to them. It us there job to see that animals are properly cared for and have proper homes.
There are very bad problems in many areas around the world because irreponsible pet owners have released non-native pets into the wild.

If I caught someone trying to release turtles into the wild, they would find themselves in the middle of the lake until they drowned or retrieved the turtles. That is, by far, the worst thing you could do. Well-meaning folks like you have ruined ponds by releasing red eared sliders all over. They are aggessive, tough, and territorial and ruin the habitat for the native turtles, some of which are threatened or endangered.
Your best bets are to work through a turtle rescue or a local herpetological society (google both). That will all but guarantee a good home. Your vet might let you post a notice on the office bulletin board. Animal shelters might take them. At the bottom of the list are sites like kashless and Craig's list and posting flyers in the neighborhood.

Don't release them into the wild! You could be introducing a non-native species that could be destructive to the native species. You should try to donate them to a school or museam or take a kiddie pool and convert it into a pond.

That sounds like a reasonable thing to do. Just set them free into the wild. You never know, they may find themselves living a much happier life anyway.
