PLEASE HELP! I need help with exponential notations!!!!!!!!!?

Aaalright, so I'm learned exponential notations a while ago, and i completely forgot how to do it. a problem in my math book says: there are 33,400,000,000,000,000,000,000 molecules in 1 gram of water. other than the 33,4, etc part.. the rest isn't imporant. so how do i change this to exponential notations w/out using my calculator? and please answer with the exponential answer.. so i can understand and see it! thanks. and please tell what all of the numbers mean? like i know it goes like.. 3.34 x (some number) to the power of some number. it's confusing. but please help ?..

Update:

there is there a 'to the power of....' ?

like 6 ( to the power of ) 4. (just made up numbers)?

Update 2:

the "some number" is how many places you move the decimal point in the number to get to 3.34... so the answer is 3.34 x 22

3.34x10 to the exponent of 22

You see you need to move the decimal 22 times to have that number..

that is how you find the answer.. =D

For ex.. if the number was 12000

    it'd be 1.2 x 10 to the exponent of 4

u need to move 4 times to get that standard number

    hope I helped!
