Are Republicans Committing Political Suicide Over Health Care Reform?

They very well might be.

I was talking to my husband yesterday about the Repubs... at first I thought in 2012 they would have a good chance of winning the White House back, but... between their hateful tea-party pals and this far right wing agenda they have, I don't think they are going to make it.

Most Americans are moderates... unless they put up a really good and moderate Republican candidate, the Dems will still have the White House in 2012.

Congress will probably be a different story... lol

It is never 'political suicide' to pay attention to what the voters want.

And if the Dems pass Obamacare - everybody with a good health insurance plan is going to get _really_ upset.

Hint: Obama wants to place a tax on an industry that averages a 3% profit. Since there is not enough profit to pay this tax - it will be passed on to the consumers as higher healthcare premiums.

No. Democrats are if they pass it. Most americans do not want this health care bill and they want congress to start over.

Obama and the Democratic leadership are telling the American people, "We know you don't like this bill, but We're doing it anyway."
