What makes your burgers extra yummy?

I can't used the grill (it's still put away for the winter). So I'm going to be pan frying burgers tonight. I want some extra yummy burgers. What's your secret to making burgers?

I use my George Forman grill to make my homemade burgers.

I add Worcestershire sauce to my recipe, if i'm out of that, i'll use soy sauce.

A1 steak sauce is also a great addition.

If you're making them from scratch, just make sure you're using a good 80/20 ground beef, and not the ones that have a little less fat. The fat is what flavors a good burger. People come up with all these seasonings and stuff to put in, but you really only need salt and pepper, because everyone usually puts on cheese, and ketchup or dressing, and tomatoes, etc... so all those flavors get lost anyways, and the flavors get too complex. Keep it simple. Use the 80/20 beef, and when you go to make the patties, dont over mix, or compress them. Just grab a hunk of meat, for a patty real quick and put it on the grill. Over mixing, or compressing the meat makes the burger really dense, and hard, which is gross.

I actually do mini sliders when I pan fry. I use the Hawaiian rolls at the store, split them in half, and bake them until browned. Then make little mini burgers. They're good this way, because it only takes a couple minutes to cook, ensuring that the meat doesn't dry out.

Great burgers are made from 80% ground chuck as teh fat gives it flavor.

Want a great burger- steakhouse quality. Do what I do on bbq's - Head to your local butcher or if u don't have one the guy behind the supermarket. Tell him to grind you up a few lbs of untrimmed (fat not removed) brisket or for more premium burgers sirloin and brisket mix. Tell them to add a tad of pork fat to the mix for a beautiful burger yummy taste which is offered in a subtle fashion by the pork fat. Butcher will know a good mix. fat get extracted during cooking to add flavor and oozes out. U my dear will be the talk of the town for ages. many NY steak house restaurants do this. When u go out next time order yourself a kobe burger. Truly a great meat.

I have made lot of these burgers from this site and all have been good. If you are looking for something different, check out the grilled burger recipes with lots of topping ideas. No need to grill your burger but the toppings list is great.

I add toasted pine nuts. I saute some onion, diced, red peppers, mushrooms , and a handful of spinach until soft, then all that to my seasoned ground turkey. I also add some olive oil to the mixture to help keep it moist, along with the bread crumb. you can also put feta cheese in as you make the burgers,,

I like to mix in either ranch dressing mix or barbecue sauce to the meat before shaping into patties. A little chopped green pepper goes well with the barbecue sauce. Or try mixing in chopped jalapenos and then topping with pepper jack cheese. Yummy!!!!!!!!!

McCormick brand Montreal Steak seasoning, worcestershire, and a little dill sprinkled on top of the patties. Yum!

My boyfriend loves when i make burgers. I just use the ground beef, add a little adobo or season salt, whichever you have, and put it in the oven on about 450 till its a little brown then flip it until its cooked through...or as cooked as you like it. I swear they are the juiceiest like that and so full of flavor

instead of putting cheese on top put it in the middle of the meat. it will make the whole burger gooy good. Or you could top it off with blue cheese and bacon.
