Cant join Marines. Should i join Army?
I just came back from the recruiters office. They said i was too old for Marines because im gonna be 29 soon. They don't take 29 year olds. I waited too long. I also talked to the Army guys and they said they will take me. But my dream is to become a United States Marine. I wanted Marines because i feel like they are more hardcore. What should i do? Should i just join the Army?

from what ive heard, you could get a waiver for your age. but I'm not entirely sure. try talking to another recruiter. I wish you would have went for your dream a lot sooner but good luck :)

Your recruiter in the marines must not like you because you have to be 32 before they will turn you away, but even then you can still get in all that is needed is a waiver. I would try to talk to another recruiter. As the marines and army are totally different.

Just go Army, they give enlistment bonuses for alot of jobs and more chances for advanced schooling, like Airborne. I think being an Airborne paratrooper is right along with being a Marine, not alot of Marines jump out of a perfectly good airplane

well marines are harder but you might have to sign an open contract...but if you like marines go marines..if you like army go army..honestly its not that much easier..marine basic is just harder then army basic...if you want hard **** in the army go for a physically challenging MOS..

I'm going to assume that you want to be Infantry either way. Marines or Army...If you're choosing Infantry then you will see combat either way.
If you choose Infantry and go Active Duty in the Army you WILL be deployed and probably see combat.

it couldn't have been your dream to join the marines if you waited too long, now if you wait to long to get into the army they might deny you, so you should just go and join.

Trust me man you don't want to join an army based on how "hard core" they appear, because they got to be hard core through hell of training. Also "war is hell" so why would you pick a more hard core hell?
