My Router Is not granting me an IP why?

I used to be able to connect wirelessly to my router fine and my other computer isn't having trouble at all. Currently I am able to connect for about a day at the most without being booted off. I will be shown a message saying (limited connectivity) or (local only). I am running vista and have gone into command prompt to type in (netsh int ip reset) and (ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew). These fixes as mentioned only last a little while then I am forced out and can't connect unless I restart my laptop.

I am having no trouble on my other laptop and on the one in question I can connect to other routers without any problem.

Please help me out and thanks in advance.

Update:

Ok, I did what niteawul suggested and I still am unable to connect.

I would make sure your drivers are updated, remove your wireless network, type "netsh winsock reset" from a command prompt, reboot, then rejoin your network.
