If this was a used vehicle and the drugs were found somewhere the average person wouldn't even know about you might have a case. Also if you are innocent take a polygraph test. I know it's not admissible in court, but if you pass a couple of tests the police may realize you are telling the truth. Innocent people go on the offensive, guilty people get defensive.

How long after your purchased your car was this found? That would be important. If it was within a week or so, you could probably be found credible with your claims. However, longer, well, I dont know about that. If they were not yours, I would STILL claim they were not mine. Call the dealership, find out who the last owner of this car was. Check into them. See what their background is, criminal wise that is. Anything you can find would be helpful. Tell the dealership what happened. Maintain your innocence to this paraphanalia. Good luck.

Depending on how long you had the vehicle, if you were stopped on the day you purchased it there would be reasonable doubt as to the owner of the drugs but it would be about even on who was believe.~

Seem like you would have to file a complaint. maybe the person who sold the vehicle has a history of drug use or the person who was hired to drive the vehicle...this would help your claim...any detective worth their salt would be able to figure this out.

If you've never touched it then it should have none of your DNA on it. This could be expensive to prove though. You could also prove that you just bought the vehicle too, this would also be evidence in your favour.

How do you prove a negative?

I'm not even sure *I* believe you.
