A one day trip is not pointless, its actually a lot of fun. You will realize that it is hard to do everything in one day but it is possible to see and do alot in NYC in a short amount of time. I visit NYC all the time and there's place I hit up every time I go and then there are new finds.

Here are some pointers- I make a flash card of places I want to go- where they are located, so if I take a cab or the train- I know where I am going. And that way you can always check out your flash card so you dont forget or get lost.

DYLANS Candy Bar - amazing place! They have every candy imaginable! Theres candy in the walls on the stairs. The place is magical and they have a cafe on the top floor with sundaes and frozen hot chocolate.. cupcakes and fondue. They are located on 3rd Ave & 60th Street, parallel to the Bloomingdales store.

FAO Schwartz, Apple Store, & 5th Ave shopping- Disney World Store, Abercrombie & NBA- these stores are only a few of what you will really enjoy on 5th Ave & 59th Street down 5th Ave to 51st street.

ROCKEFELLER, Radio City Music Hall & NBC- located from 51st-49th street & 6th Ave (Avenue of the Americas) you can go On Top Of The Rock- it cost $20 and you go ontop of Rockefeller and you can see out onto the whole city. It is really a sight to see both at day and night time! On the ground you can also go ice-skating. You can take pictures of Radio City Music Hall and you can take a tour of the NBC studios. If you go on a Saturday - you can sit in the audience on a Saturday Night Live taping.

Walk one block up to 7th Ave (Broadway) & you are in the heart of Times Square! They have the M&M store, Hershey Store, HUGE American Eagle store and many others! All the lights and the drama is amazing!

I hope you have a great time!! =)

You can do and see a lot in one day if you hustle - my philosophy is to see as much as you can the first time, then you'll know what to spend more time on when you visit again. Here is a list of some of the top things in NYC to get you started..

Personally, I'd go downtown in the morning first thing, see Wall St. area, Ground Zero, peak at the Statue of Liberty from Battery Park, maybe walk on the Brooklyn Bridge. Then start heading north, walk around China Town, Little Italy, Greenwich Village for a bit. Get up to midtown, walk along 5th Avenue, see Central Park, Times Square.

One day is almost a waste of time. Depending on the things you enjoy, you could take the Circle Line tour around the island, good view of statue of Liberty as well as many other interesting land marks.

One day is not enough to go through even one small museum, you could do the Empire State Building but everything will simply be a blur if you try it in one day.

again your personal interests should dictate the things you see and do. Back in the 70's & 80's I have the opportunity to visit NYC many times and I really loved going into the city, could do broadway shows, museum, garment district many small art galleries and so much more. Have not been in about 20 years but still have great memories of being there.

Go to Central Park and Times Square. Go to top of empire state building. Shop at the original Macy's across the street. Eat a hot pastrami sandwich at Katz's diner.

Well, if you got the time you can come and see my penis, but tbh you would need a week stay at least to get the full tour :D
