How do I break myself of my sleep schedule?
I've been working midnights (12-4am) Monday-Friday for the last 2 years. I'm about to quit my job because I'm all done school, but my sleep schedule is all screwed up. On the weekends I can't go to bed until after 4am and I don't wake up until almost noon. What's the best way to get back to a normal sleep schedule? Should I just pull several all nighters or something?
Oh quantum quack, how you amuse me :)
I noticed that you got angry at how I enjoy my meat cooked and tracked me to one of my own questions, yet you don't allow others to track you, too bad. I would love to have an intelligent conversation with you about your views.
I do not understand how the lack of proper grammar in my question makes me ignorant, this is hardly formal writing.
Too bad I can't get in contact with you, it is all too easy for you to hide behind your words.
You should try a medium rare cooked steak one time, it is quite delicious. I would address the rest of the points you tried to make in your response, but this is hardly the place to do it. Feel free to message me, since you don't allow others to message you.
Toodles :D

Hate to interrupt the little fight you guys are having but I know exactly how you feel. College totally messed up my sleep schedule. These are some tips that were on a website with a little input of my own. Hehe.
1. Get into a normal bedtime routine. Try to get up and go to sleep at about the same time every day. On the weekends don't stay in bed all day just because its the weekend. Get up an hour or two later than you normally would.
2. Avoid drinking anything with caffeine or alcohol in it, avoid sugar and too much liquids close to bedtime this will also keep you from sleeping because of frequent bathroom breaks.
3. Try a small hot cocoa or a herbal and calming chamomile tea.
4. Turn off all electronics.. Except your alarm clock of course. But no TV or Laptop.
5. Avoid exercise just before bedtime.
6. Listen to relaxing music.
7. Avoid napping during the day.
8. Avoid stress.
9. Make the bedroom dark & try not to face the clock.
Honestly though, what worked for me was getting up early with no naps during the day. I would force myself to get up, even though I would be running on like 3-4 hours of sleep, but by the end of the night I would be extremely tired.
Hope this helps.

If you ended a sentence with "or something", you must be very ignorant. Don't you have any good communication skills? You didn't screw up the sleep schedule. Your body is just active. It's a phenomena reported by scientists even in late teenagers/young adults in poor countries where they don't have a need to stay up all night. Just go to bed and fall asleep. Turn off everything, nothing should bother you. It's really not a rocket science.
Or you could have a food poisoning. Medium rare? Ever heard of e. coli? Your concentrated animal farming creates so much crap, the doo doo ends in your food and gives you e. coli and salmonella.
