Help with Hotmail anyone?
Somehow my Hotmail account has become corrupted. This is definitely a function of the Hotmail server, not my own computer, as I have changed to a new computer but it still happens, and also happens when my computer is actually switched off.
I am getting literally dozens of messages a day into my inbox, all from postmaster@hotmail which are supposed to be delivery failures but all are to e mail addresses I've never heard of. Its like my account is constantly sending random messages to imaginery addys and then telling me the message couldn't be delivered. Should I shut down this addy and open a new one or is there some way of telling Hotmail and getting them to fix the problem?

Your email address (but not your account or computer) has been used by spammers as a "from address" for spam email, and thousands of emails have been sent that look like they come from your email address. When these hit some email systems they're rejected and the "non-delivery report" (NDR) is sent to you because the email looks like it came from you.
Best just wait a few days. This sort of thing goes in cycles and your address will only be used for a week or so, after which the NDRs will stop.

Close down the addy and make a new one. It's probably a virus. You should tell Hotmail aswell so they can stop the problem happening again.
