Obama admin. anti education?

Any time a conservative disagrees with any democratic education scheme or plan or part of a plan for any reason, he or she is labeled "anti-education". The Obama administration just anounced a massive overhaul and even a doing away with the "no child left behind" program supported by President Bush. Now by the democrats own standard, that would mean Obama and his administration would be labeled "anti-education". Do you agree? If not, why the double standard? I'm not saying the program doesn't need improvement, I personally think it does(which I guess means I am anti-education). I just want to expose the blatant double standard always imposed on conservatives.

I have come to the conclusion that all government is anti education, right down to town mayors. anytime they are short on funds anywhere, education always gets hit.

Why do we short change our children? Yes the system needs reformed, there is no denying that, but cut bad teachers not funding.

As for no child left behind, it should be cut. It just advances students through the system without worrying about whether they actually learned anything or not, thus why we have high school graduates who can barely scrawl their own name.

Being that my children go to school where they cant even bring home books because there isnt enough and our county is coming up over 3 mil short this coming year, this one really bothers me at the moment

The usual repub response to any education question is "it doesn't work so stop spending money on it" and "we need vouchers". Of course, the extreme rightwing would like to do away with public education altogether because they think it is 'socialism'.
