Did they really clear Acorn?

Does anyone know if this article is accurate - it would seem that Acorn is cleared of any wrong-doing and that the video(s) were apparently creatively edited?

I don't remember hearing about that on Fox :)

Yeah, apparently mr. O'keefe took the liberty of editing the tapes to make what Acorn did look more wrong then it actually was.

That's just for the New York case...the case was investigated by other district attorneys in the Brooklyn (NY) district attorney's office (Charles Hynes, the elected DA, had recused himself from the case, passing it to underlings to prevent a conflict of interest) and they came to the conclusion in that case, and only that case, that the tape appeared less than credible.

No other DA to date has addressed the videotapes as of yet without using Alinsky methods, if any mention was made at all. Only the Brooklyn (NY) DA has come out and essentially determined that the tape is not genuine. Any other investigations should still be ongoing.

ACORN is STILL under indictment in 14 states for voter fraud.

Tell me ACORN didn't say what they did? It may skirt the fine edge of the law, but no rational person will condone the INTENT they demonstrated.

  • Not so much "cleared" as some misguided judge gave them back what the judge wanted them to have.

The judge should go. ACORN should go. Obama should go.

Yes. It was a few nut cases trying to beef up their paychecks that caused problems.

Hopefully. This wholething was just a witch hunt.

Please, there's no way what I saw was so creatively edited that it would have been appropriate. It's NY.
