OH NO...he didn't just say "spark plugs" and "powerstroke" in the same sentence did he? He's going to have MAJOR issues if he put spark plugs in a powerstroke. Where would you even put them.

Look at replacing possibly 4x4 components is it is 4x4. Ford had a recall on the CPS so you might want to check on that. If it hasn't been replaced, no biggy. Ford will replace it for free. It being a fleet truck I'm assuming it hasn't been chipped. Soooooo....I would say you wouldn't be looking at much work to do to it. But it just depends on how many "bumps" and maintanence it has had. Oil needs to be changed no later than 8,000 miles. If it has hardly been pulled with I wouldn't look at any drivetrain failure.

Ha ha lol what thats unheard of spark plugs on a stroker ha ha I'm rolling on the floor. Dumbass. But yeah back to the question about the ford as the other guy said yes the motor will run forever but other thing will wear out such as the front end, steering components brake calipers tranny and all sorts of other things can croak at any given time on a high mile truck.

I know you done said it, but really sounds like something to do with the solenoid. But maybe it wasn't bad....maybe it has a loose connection somewhere. You can try turning the key on, not all the way over, then cross out the solenoid posts with something metal but make sure it has an insulated handle. But it also sounds like your linkage is out of wack a little. Like sometime I pull up to a drive through and turn off my truck...when I go to crank it back it doesnt. So I wiggle the coolumn shifter up and down, it may need to be shoved up real hard, and it will crank up. If the linkage is messed up, the truck may think it is in gear and will not crank. You can take it to a mechanic shop and have it checked out or live with it if it happens rarely.

My 2001 F-350 powerstroke has 175,000miles on it and the only problem with it was it wouldnt start in the cold weather but we changed the spark plugs on it and it works like new now not problems at all. spark plugs dont cost barely anything and theyre easy to change so theres really no problems

powerstrokes are pretty decent and yes you are right its got a million miles left but there are also many part so be replaced over that peroid, they are hell to work on tho, and extremely expensive.to fix
