I need a thesis for descriptive essay on pentecostal church. I have no idea what my thesis statement?

The people speak in tongues and they praise God consistently throughout the pastor's sermon. Some people pray at the front of the church at the altar while the pastor is preaching. They believe in laying hands of their people so they will be healed. They believe in casting out demons. They believe in anointing with oil. They believe that everything Jesus did, they can do.

The thesis statement is the statement which your whole essay is about. For example, you are trying to tell people a Church is beautiful, your thesis statement would be a Church is beautiful, then you have paragraphs on different reasons why a Church is beautiful. A good essay is all about trying to get the statement across by supporting the statement. I can't really tell you your thesis unless I've read your essay. Try not to talk about many many things that have nothing to do with your thesis statement. Next time when you write your essay, think of the thesis statement & the supporting details or evidence first, then write your essay. (Do some planning, it'll help so much.)

Capital punishment should be legal in all states because it saves money, reserves land, and decreases crime rate.

For a descriptive essay

If my topic was on Carl Sagan

Carl Sagan, also called the "Man of the Cosmos", was a cosmologist, evolutionist, and an atheist.

then you talk about the 3 points you made in the body.

Btw, the essay doesn't have to have 3 points, descriptions, or evidence. Just enough to get your message across to the reader.

Spend some time reading about the church. Write down some things about the nature and history of the church. Then string it together into a coherent essay expressing your conclusions about those things.

How about "History and Origins of the Pentecostal Movement". It is quite new, so it doesn't have a very long history.
