What is the point of a garnet?

Why do people wear them, and what are they for?

The things people wear around their legs for a wedding under their dress, or whatever.

Update:

A garnet is a jewel. You mean a garter. It holds up knee-high or thigh-high stockings. They aren't really necessary anymore, since we have stockings with elastic at the top that hold up on their own. Now they're just worn for fashion. Some people think they're sexy. They are a tradition for weddings.

nicely, the sapphires tend to be greater costly, if it incredibly is an argument. because of fact, in my view, I purely like the cornflower blue sapphires, no longer the darker, blacker colour. of path, I placed on a marriage set with dias and sapphires, so i could desire to be biased! What approximately putting the two garnets and sapphires in there? That way it ties into your modern set yet additionally provides the nod to the marriage anniversary!
