can i install a wireless card in my wife's desk top she wants to go wireless?

i forgot it's a dell

    Yes. You can install an internal card by opening up the case and finding an available PCI slot or you can get a USB Wireless adapter and take that route. USB of course is quickest and easiest. Keep in mind you will need a wireless router/access point to connect to if you don't already have one.

    yes to go wireless you need to install a WNIC (wireless network interface card.)

    I bought one of these for about 50, it has an antenna on it and the card plugs into the mother board, probably into a Pci Bus.

    your going to need to open the pc case

    or

    you can buy usb thumb sticks that have wireless internet and all you need to do is pay credit to use the wireless. or you can take your pc to a techy and pay them to tweak your system?

    If you have a good signal you could use a USB wirless adapter. Easier than installing one in a pci slot.
