How to connect MacBook Pro to Samsung TV?
I went to BestBuy today and asked this question. The man gave me 2 cords, one of which I know I definitely need. The other, some adapter is what I am confused on. I have a DVI to HDMI cable which I know is correct. The one that isnt right is the Mini DVI to DVI adapter. There is no input on my laptop for a mini DVI. I own the all silver MacBook Pro from 2 years ago.
Can anyone help me with the adapter I need to hook this up? Thanks a lot!

The all-silver Macbook Pro has a full-size DVI port. If that's the one you got, all you need is the DVI-to-HDMI cable. No mini adapter necessary.
If you have the silver-and-black Macbook Pro (silver body with black screen bezel), then you need a miniDisplayPort-to-DVI adapter. NOT miniDVI. MiniDisplayPort and miniDVI are COMPLETELY different things and are NOT compatible.
As far as I am aware, no Macbook Pro has ever had a miniDVI port.
