Why is it that when I find someone who has a really great answer to someone else's question, they don't allow?
e-mail or messaging and I can't add them because they won't let me do that either?

If I understand correctly, you're asking us why a particular individual who you have not named does not allow people to contact them?
Your guess is as good as ours. Better in fact, because at least you know who they are and can make guesses based upon their social interaction within this forum :)

Hey, Sparkle! The status of users can change. I had to stop allowing e-mails for a short time last year because someone was blasting me. (Stalking?) But I have changed that since.
Sometimes people on here have to protect themselves...it's sad but true. I may be forced to block e-mails in the future but for now, all is well. Long time members, like myself, can get targeted by ugly people or trolls. R and S is a volatile site and tensions run high sometimes.....((Hugs))

Well mine isn't set up because this is the only thing i ever use yahoo for... never check the email i'm registered under since 8 years ago, don't have messenger installed anymore, etc. Plus I'm not sure what anyone would have to say to me. I imagine most of the time it would be someone wanting to argue or something, rather than a fan.

Maybe they don't want your friendship.
Maybe they're not open to other people and their ideas
Maybe they don't like praise, or compliments, or insults
