headaches in later pregnancy?

I am 28 weeks with my second child, for the past four days I have had a continuous headache, should I be worried about this, I do suffer from headaches due to my eyesight but never had one for four days.

Do you have high blood pressure? If you do, you should get checked for pre-eclampsia. Good luck x

Hi there, I have a few ideas - firstly it is not uncommon to get headaches in pregnancy and you must make sure you are hydrated enough so keep drinking water. Secondly, the eyesight might be a thing - I found I was suffering headaches myself in pregnancy (maybe around the same kind of time, perhaps a few weeks later) and i'd also been wondering if my eyesight was getting worse but just put it down to being tired (being in 3rd trimester with 2 other kids at home). I went to the opticians who said infact my prescription had changed by .5 in one eye which is quite a bit and enough to cause headaches. Apparently not unheard of in pregnancy. So perhaps go and get your eyes checked out. Of course you should really contact your midwife/OB if you are worried, as it could be due to something else like a lack of a specific vitamin or high bloodpressure (the latter usually accompanied by dots floating in front of your eyes). Good luck

Im 37 weeks pregnant tomorrow & have had this for weeks! my blood pressure is very low so thats the main cause of mine, along with fluid retention.Has your midwife been checking your blood pressure & urine for high blood pressure & pre-eclampsia?

There is nothing i can do about mine as its due to low blood pressure i just need to rest but you need to get seen to if its due to high blood pressure
