DVD/CD drive doesn't work properly (Vaio, Vista)?
So here's the deal:
I got this Vaio laptop three years ago now. It has always and still always works exceptionally well except for one thing-- the DVD/CD rom drive doesn't always work. When I put a movie, game, or CD in it, I hear it spinning and working but when I go into My Computer's F drive it doesn't see a disk.
After about twenty thousand tries of ejecting and trying again it FINALLY recognizes whatever is in there and works.
This happens mostly with the games and CDs but it's still incredibly annoying and difficult. Has anyone else had this problem? What did you do to fix it?

A very similar problem happened with my VAIO VGN-FE890 laptop, as you can see here:

I didn't end up fixing it. In fact, the same laptop stopped working later on. Now when I try to turn it on the lights all come on and stay lit up, but nothing happens after that.
