Well, larger dogs tend to have shorter life-spans, because they tend to have more health problems. For example, Great Danes. Their average life-span is 7-9 years, due to many of their normal health problems. But this doesn't mean all Great Danes will certainly only live that long, or that they'll have their breeds typical health problems. Its mainly about how well cared for they are. There isn't really a dog who has the shortest life-span, its just that some dogs tend to live longer then others… It mostly depends on the size, like I stated before. Small and toy dogs tend to live from 10-15 years, medium dogs are around 9-10, and large and extra large dogs are 7-9… Around.

Not necessarily. It could go the way a poodle does, or the Bernese mountain dog. Sometimes it does extend the life span. But in this case I don't think it is.

not necessarily.. if you cross an inbred Bernese MD, with an inbreed poodle you will not get a dog with a long lifespan.. but if you cross a WELL bred BMD and a WELL bred poodle you might.. it depends on other facotrs too, not just hybrid vigor - read this link that talks about how to increase a dogs lifespan

Well for one thing; the bernese Mountain dog, because there big might shorten the age but being a mutt will definitely lengthen its life! hope this helps!

generally it does help with disease and everything. because it is two different breeds (or even more) there is a wider gene pool. but say you have two dogs mixed and that breed is prone to hip displasia. then the dog would be more likely to get it because both the breeds are prone it it.

not necessarily.
It can still take after the BMD more and still have the size, health issues and lifespan of that breed.
Mixed breed dogs have no guarantees on traits or qualities.. there's absolutly NO guarantee of what you will get.
