    percent ionized means the concentration of [H+] when talking in terms of acid (it will be [OH-] when talking in terms of a base)

    So you must find out what is 8.2% of 0.005M

    .082*(.005M) = 4.1E-4M

    Now you know the [H+] concentration, so you take the -log of [H+]

    pH = -log (4.1E-4) = 3.3872....but with sig figs it will be 3.39 (sig figs for pHs start after the decimal...it is tricky and most teachers will try to trick you on that)
