How do I convert a PDF file and a JPEG so that they are uploadable in http format?

I have to do this for work and the person that was there before me did not leave any direction. It is very frustrating for me. I have done this a couple of times, just in time, but I can not recall how to do it exactly so that I can assuredly do it again, and God willing, have directions for someone else to do it going forward. One of the "tools" I need to use is Filezilla if that helps any. I would appreciate your help with this so very much. Thank you!

You can upload them just as they are. It would help if I saw the other http that were done before this. I have been FTPing stuff to the internet for over a dozen years.

Here is an example of a JPEG. It was taken around 1907 near Faith, South Dakota. Known as a sod block house. The sod would help keep heat in the winter. Not sure if it meant cooler in the summer. They had to use soil when trees were scarce.

Hopefully Filezilla was setup with username and password and where on the internet to store files.

  • You don't need to do anything special. Just open FileZilla, connect to the FTP server, navigate to the appropriate folder, and drag in the PDF and JPEG. Now they should be accessible via HTTP.

If you want to add PDF files or images onto server, you can create thumbnails of them and then link the PDF file with thumbnail on Internet, there is a tool named A-PDF Thumbnailer that creates thumbnail images with HTML pages.

If you are on a mac, go do File, Print (or press command-P). Click the "Save to PDF" button.

You can do this in any Mac program to create a PDF.

If you are on PC, good luck. There probably is no simple or logical way to do it.
