Was ist .arpa für eine Domain?

Bitte erklärt mir das in einfachen und verständlichen Worten. Ich habe schon danach gegoogelt, aber ich verstehe es nicht, weil das so viele andere Begriffe vorkommen, die ich nicht kenne.

Noch was: ich hatte diese Domain nämlich auf meiner Seitenstatistik.

Wenn das die 1. Domain ist, ist die dann heute noch aktiv?

    Die Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA) ist eine US Forschungsorganisation die den Vorlaeufer des Internet entwickelt hat. Dieser gehoert die Domain .arpa

    Zudem ist .arpa eine Top Level Domain und steht für Address and Routing Parameter Area.
