i really need some help?

i have been suffering from severe depression for the last 7 years and had the idea that i could solve my own problems. about 4 months ago i went to the dr to get some help. the meds were recently changed, no improvement. ive been going to counseling. im at my wits end. im in and out of the hospital everyday. i lost 30 pounds in the last month and 8 just in the last few days. i need someone to help me before i break down completely. i have two little girls to raise by myself and im scared to death of what is happening to me. i am trying to get help but not having much success. any suggestions. please i am begging and desperate for help

i dont need a psych hospital i dont have time for that. ive got kids to raise

    You're going to counseling and that's a positive step in the right direction, as exploring causes for the depression and learning new and better ways to cope will help you infinitely more --in the long run-- than meds. BUT it does take time. Your depression did not happen overnight, and sadly nor is it likely to disappear overnight Often times, it takes several trials of meds to find the right dosage and/or combination for you and that can take a bit of time.

    Be gentle and patient with yourself.

    Do something good for YOU every day.

    Ask your therapist for extra sessions if s/he provides them.

    Force yourself to get out and see and focus on other people.

    Admit yourself to a psych hospital till u r well
