Who was the most over-rated R&B male, female & group/band of the 80's.. and why?

This started off just being about a group/band I thought was under-rated... but I would like to know who you believe are the most over & under-rated of the decade.

Most Over-Rated Male Artist of the 80's - AL. B. SURE!!!

As much that is made of Al B. Sure.... and I'm not saying he wasn't talented... but he was most definitely overhyped... He didn't sing that great, his sense of style was pretty bad & I don't get what girls saw in this dude... he was chunky & had an almost uni-brow.... I didn't get it.

Most Over-Rated Female Artist of the 80's - VANESSA WILLIAMS!!

She was hella gorgeous... and that's about it. I know she had a string of hits... nice songs.. but I think she got by with good producers & songwriters and her looks. She was a bad dancer and honestly, if it wasn't for naked pictures... she probably wouldn't have been so big.

Most over-rated group/band of the 80's - THE JETS!! (Milli Vanilli would've been too easy)

I don't know... they just seemed to the worst 'popular' band of the 80's. And I actually liked their music, but I thought there was no telling them apart from each other... they seemed like a young DeBarge ripoff with less personality.
