Be Sincere: Do you really know why people make fun of others in R&S topics?
I already know what answers im going to receive, but its not what you really think,
I just want to Know who are the ones who figured it out and who are that ones who think they figured it out.
This is a Religious topic Because it Involves Truth, and that is very important in all Religions, dont lie

I think your question is sincere, and I'm not going to make fun of you, but you need to understand some basic facts. Firstly, why do you think that religion has anything to do with truth? Is truth not fact? So, therefore, do religions deal in facts (proofs/sureness and certainty)?
Religions, as you must know, are based on beliefs, which are opinions based on lack of facts, as opposed to knowledge, that which is known for sure, or at least evidenced to some degree.
We have to remember not to confuse religion with spirituality, as they have nothing to do with each other. This is because all religion is based on myth and the dogmatic belief that faith and beliefs are fact, which they are not.
Spirituality is real, and based only within the reality of the certainty of fact. Too many people firmly ‘believe’ that spirituality is about religion, because thy have been taught to ‘believe’ this to be so. Religious spirituality is fantasy based on nothing that is real. It has been separated at some distance within the human mind from reason or logic.
You are a spirit with a body. You are a mixture of animal instincts and humanity. Your humanity controls your animal, or base instincts; this being all that separates you from the lower animals. This doesn’t just mean cats, dogs, lions and tigers etc. as it also means men and women without a sufficient amount of humanity to control their base animal desires and instincts, who look human, but behave like beasts. Such people are usually controlled by self-interest and fear of retribution, and not, unfortunately, by any humanity within them. And because of this fact, which you can experience every day, so many so-called human beings are in reality just beasts of the very lowest order, so often totally lacking the humanity that is necessary to makes a real and complete human.
The spirit of man cannot be found, no matter how hard you look for it. You can open up the human skull and dissect the brain, and you will neither find a picture or a single thought. These things are not evident to the eye, yet we know that they are there, because we all experience them every day. You may ask about the realities of death, because you hope that you will live in some paradise or other after death. Yet again, this is the promise of religious leaders. For example, at most Christian funerals they will mention the “Sure and certain hope of the resurrection of the body”. Just like all things, people never really notice, nor do they even question. If such resurrection is sure, then why the need for hope? If it is certain, again, why faith? And why hope if it is sure and certain? It goes around and around, contradiction upon contradiction.
Food for thought? For your own sake, think....don't be blind and fall into the Pit.

I've wondered if some of the atheists are just confused rather than non-deists. It would seem that a true atheist--secure in his belief, spiritually stable, and intelligent wouldn't be interested a topic that they don't believe in. I think those guys are so consumed by anger that this forum is a convenient place to find a scapegoat. I correspond with several (adult) atheists who don't post in R&S because they have no reason to. By the same token, I think the Christians who contribute here are either sincerely trying to spread the Word, or--like me, for example--they find atheists entertaining. It's sort of like the emperor with no clothes, they are the only ones who don't see what they themselves are.

It's merely a reflection of humanity: don't dumb, ignorant kids get laughed at in school? Don't we smugly wonder "what WERE they thinking" when we consider those who thought the world flat.
Because man has attempted to personify God, or Allah, or Jesus or for that matter, Buddha, he has inadvertently contaminated the concept of "higher authority" with his own vices and agendas.
In one fell swoop, each great world religion has revealed itself to be fraudulent. Whether it is murderous jihaadists or molesting priests or Jewish soot falling to the ground from a smoke stack, or the seeds that murderer Oliver Cromwell sowed in Ireland CENTURIES ago, most people know subliminally that it is the "proverbial opiate for the masses." Others understand that it is a way of controlling behavior, a modern human preoccupation. So, when they encounter people passionately berating or scolding on God's behalf in manufactured, organized religion, or furiously quoting the Bible, it's as amusing as the kid who hasn't realized yet his zipper's down or the wannabe Jock who hasn't figured out yet that he's no athlete. Ever notice the contempt "Guidos" get? Same thing.

I don't know if I've got it figured, but I reckon it's because they like to predict how people will react in a pavlovian kind of way and get a warm glow of self-satisfaction when they get the reaction they expect. Or there may be some more intelligent reason that my religious conditioning prevents me seeing, like a bid for world domination maybe.

It's an ego trip telling others they're wrong with authority.
Tonight though I'm a bit miffed cos I posted an ambiguous question, and despite me being an atheist, was told by other atheists to drop my delusions and that god doesn't exist. *shakes head* Then posted a (perhaps pretty rubbish) joke, and again got told to drop my delusions and god doesn't exist.
So it's ego trip without any sense of humour for some of them!
Oh well. All part of the R&S Merrygoround.

I feel that people attack others for their point of view because of their indoctrination and beliefs of whatever particular institution that they belong to. If they read their Bible they would see that the Lord says to the disciples that His father has many mansions which may in fact be allegorical of the many differing Christian denominations.

Most, atheists and theists, are probably insecure and unsure about their belief so that they have to force it on others. Some might just be defending themselves.
All I know is that both sides are wrong for doing it. I think it should stop.

Personally, I make fun of them because I think it is important for others to see the humor in flawed thinking. It weakens the illusion of authority that the church has created when everyone, religious member or not, is laughing at the same church together.

Both Christians and non Christians want to change the beliefs (or lack of beliefs) of the other person.
