1998 ford expedition cd player wiring?

i have a 1998 ford expedition i just took out the factory tape player it played nice. hook up the red+ black- and yellow+ to the new cd player it came on. i hook up the wires to the factory speaker wires and NO SOUND cd player is brand new whats going on i dont want to run wires from cd player to factory speaker help!!!!!!

    do you opt for an o.e.m receiver? What do you advise by way of "cartridge?" once you purchase an o.e.m cd participant that's the cd participant no longer purely the faceplate. evaluate those manufacturers: Alpine, Eclipse, Pioneer, Kenwood.
