For people that know about Paramount blades for Ice skating??! help and fast?
K so I am looking to buy paramount blades. I have been having trouble finding the right blade for my level, and skating. I have heard rumors that they are really good, but also that the glue seperates from the blade a lot of times. Does that happen very often? Like is it something that happens to a lot of skaters once they get these blades? Please I really need an answer. I don't wanna buy an expensive blade and then it break on me..

Paramount's image is very dicey because their website is filled with poorly written documentation and big claims that seem too good to be true. In the past, their executives have made some ugly statements about anyone who pointed out problems or mentioned their difficulties.
Their website says that Carolina Kostner and Rachel Flatt wear these blades. The blades are lightweight and durable at face value. There have been reports of blades loosening or torqueing, mostly among heavier/taller skaters who may not have the best technique.
The cool factor is that the stainless-steel frames come in a variety of colors and patterns. If you skate on a synchro team, check with your coaches. Some want conformity throughout the team's costuming and skates.
I think that the glue problems are really the responsibility of the person glueing the runners into the chassis and the sharpener using the proper equipment. Find a good technician and you won't have many problems, but if the tech has never handled them before, you could be in trouble. Look for a reliable skate technician and you'll be okay.
The biggest issue is sharpening: the runners hold their sharpenings 4-5x as long as traditional blades. However, the runners require special equipment to sharpen them properly and not every skate sharpening place is willing to invest the money unless they will have enough business to break even on the equipment. Go to your regular sharpener and ask if they are able to sharpen these skates. If not you'll need to send them out for sharpening.
That's the bigger drawback: because the runners are affixed with a special industrial glue, you can't just swap runners and send the dull ones out for sharpening, as you can with the Jackson Ultima Matrix blades. (Those blades' drawback is that the hex head bolts can be stripped easily.) With the Paramount blades, you would have to send the skates out for sharpening if you don't have a pro shop able to handle the task.

I haven't tried them myself but one person I talked to who tried them said it made no difference on her skating at all.
