how do i get rid of a blank page at the end of my document?

First i made sure that there's really not any extra content by typing <CTRL><END> then pressing <BACKSPACE> i still had problems.

then, i Selected View -> Nonprinting Characters from the pull down menus (so that the choice is checked). This allowed me to see that there was a paragraph symbol at the top of the page ( ¶ ). I can't delete it, i can't shrink past 1 point and even at 1 point it will not squeeze it up onto the page before it. I don't have a table in the document but everything is written in columns. can someone please help me?

Update:

i can't delete the last paragraph sign, the computer won't let me...

Put the cursor to the left of (or above) that last ¶ symbol and press the Delete key until you delete it. If it still won't delete, open another document, copy this document, but only to the last character you want, and paste into the new document. Then delete this document and save the new one as this one.

Go to the very end of the last line of text on the last page and hit delete.

Just put your cursor on a blank space the end of the page you want to keep and keep pressing delete until you just have the one page.

Ughhh, I've dealt with this so many times. When all else fails, copy and paste into a new document.

Hope you get it figured out!
