On the money?

Appears that the Broncos are looking to sign Ben Hannant coz he's homesick, and I was on the money

Do you think the Dogs will struggle without Hannant, or will they cope?

He's been saying he's homesick since the day he got there lol It was always going to happen.
And yes Ben has been a main part of the team's success. Without him, their forward pack doesnt look so great. Since they're talking about doing a little player swap its going to be interesting to see what happens in the next week or two.

The Bulldogs can cope without him. He missed a few games last year because of injury and State of Origin duties and it didn't really affect us. I don't think it would affect us now.
When it comes to forwards, the Bulldogs probably have more depth than any other team. Even without Hannant, we still have experienced props like Michael Hodgson and Chris Armit who've both played more than 100 games, we still have Jarrad Hickey, who can be absolutely devastating, plus we have a couple of NSW Cup props good enough to cut it in first grade. If Hannant does go, we'd still have a lot of room in our salary cap to buy a good replacement for him. Hannant leaving isn't going to cause a lot of problems.
His contract ends at the end of 2011. We could go after Brent Kite since he goes off-contract at the same time. I'd still prefer to keep Hannant.

Good work! You started a rumour and it got picked up by the Murdoch press.
Seriously, though you were right. I think the Dogs are already struggling. Without Hannant, they will struggle even more. Good props don't grow on trees. Maybe the Dogs could throw some dollars at a Burgess, Shirnack, Douglas or Fifita brother.

I just got word the Titans are picking him up.
Will the Dogs struggle if the lose their Origin prop? Hmm.
