Graduate program where you travel to different continents?
I went backpacking this summer, was pretty tipsy (so I am questioning the authenticity and accuracy of my memory), but I met a group of graduate students and they told me there was a graduate degree program (something within the bounds of international studies) where you would travel to different continents as a part of your curriculum....(I think something like 4 continents in two years?) Is this true? Does a graduate program like this exist? Or anything similar where international travel is a heavy emphasis?
Do you know of a particular program that deals with international relations that requires travels as a part of its curriculum? I know you can travel with any degree or job, but I would really love to know more about this particular program ... It was a group of 15-20 graduate students traveling together, trying to earn the same MA degree

It's possible, but it's a pretty bad idea to pick a PhD program simply based on the requirements of that program. You'll have to pay for that degree (and almost certainly the travel as well) and then you'll have a degree, so you want to use it. Almost any graduate program can lead to international travel, especially in the sciences - I'm getting a PhD in physics, and I've made two trips to Europe and six to South America (I'm in Chile right now) as part of my PhD program. But not everyone else in my program is doing the same thing. These are simply opportunities you have to look for.

there are a range of of differing kinds of volunteer opportunities obtainable for human beings eager to make contributions. although, many of the volunteer courses obtainable fee income some form or yet another. go back and forth expenditures are commonly something you pays for on your own, and maximum places also ask for charge of room and/or board, if it truly is accessible. I spent very last summer season volunteering in Guatemala (Volunteer Peten) and it grow to be between the most acceptable reviews i have had in any such vast volume of different procedures. I had to pay airfare ($575 roundtrip) plus $100 and twenty a week for a stay with a range of family contributors, all food presented. no longer too shabby. examine round on the information superhighway for volunteer courses to may fit your needs. also, places that are nearer (Latin u . s . a ., the Caribbean) are less severe priced interior the airfare branch. sturdy luck!
